Father Dennis M. Bogda, or just "Father Dennis" as he likes to be called, is our priest. He attended Saints Cyril and Methodious Byzantine Catholic Seminary. He obtained a Bachelor or Arts in Philosophy from Duquesne University in 1963. He was ordained into the priesthood on April 23, 1967. He has two Masters Degrees. His Masters in Theology was earned in 1978 from Duquesne University, and a Masters Degree in Community Counseling was achieved from Youngstown University. He is cofounder and CO-director of the Byzantine Youth Camp, former editor of "The Enlightenment", a frequent contributor to the Byzantine Catholic World, and Director of Vocations for the Diocese.
Since coming to St. John's, Father Dennis has helped revitalize the church, bringing adult education opportunities, extensive programs for our youth, and a more loving, involved atmosphere for all who attend St. John's. It has been his priority to make everyone who passes through our doors feel welcome and included in our church family.
